Recently, we had an amazing researcher and presenter attend our membership meeting. Jeanne Allert presented information on research she had conducted on familial trafficking-or trafficking where a family member facilitates a child’s trafficking. As a reminder, trafficking is a commercial act that is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person induced to perform such an act has not attained 18 years of age. Here is a link to Research Gate, a clearinghouse for research papers. You can read about the study Jeanne Allert conducted here.

You can also learn more about her and the work she does with Institute for Shelter Care here.
